the passenger door lock is not working properly, i think the actuator is gone, can I wire up an after market actuator to the stock wiring without going through the door boot? I have an aftermarket alarm/rs with keyless.....has anyone done this? wiring aftermarket actuator to stock wiring to keep stock functions? let me know thanks

you have to verify with a meter firstly to ensure it is the actuator and not the wiring, once you are getting voltage at the motor wires, then you can go ahead and use an aftermarket actuator and connect it to the motor wires.

you will still have to verify that the motor is recieving sufficient voltage, i would lean towards the actuator being defective but you still have to meter it to be sure.
