I have noticed that the port length calculator for WINisd is not the same as the calculator on this site.
Which one is more accurate?

i downloaded winisd where is the port calculator??? i have a feeling ive downloaded an old version.

It's not really a port "calculator" like the12volt's. You simply plug in the box size and tuning frequency, then tell it what shape and dimensions the port will be and it shows you the length it needs to be for that tuning frequency and the vent mach it will produce...port noise.

but what do i click on to bring up the 'calculator'?
i cant find anything at all like you describe.

First you have to give it a woofer to work with. Plug in the specs of the woofer you will use. Tell it vented. One woofer. Then you will be on the "box" tab. change the volume to your volume of box. and then change the tuning frequency to what it is that you desire. Then click on "vent" tab. you will see it then.

yer but there is no where to enter anything, its just a graph with signal generator and stuff, how do i even enter what woofer i have or anything?!
i feel so stupid...

It's ok. I think what you need to do is click on "new" at the top. It will display "select driver for project." Look through the database for your woofer. If it doesn't have it in there, click on own driver. Look for your specs on your manual for the woofer and plug in the parameters.

WinISD tends to be pretty accurate, but my bet is that both calculators are correct.  WinISD it automatically taking the displacement of the woofer and the port into account when it gives you a port length, where the calculator on this site assumes you will do that manually when you enter the enclosure volume.
