lol yeah i was about to just throw it away a month or so ago. i was thinking of fiberglassing the whole well of my trunk for my box but if i have too much air space what would be the best way to take some of it away?

expanding form does a great job.
Can't be loud then don't have it.

If you do put expanding foam in an enclosure, be very careful.  It may expand more than you think it will.  Apply it in conservative portions until you notice how much it expands.  That stuff is capable of destroying an enclosure.

Very true but you can shave off until it is to the right air space then put fiber glass over it so the foam will not vibration apart. There is a lot of kinds you can get 1x,2x,4x expanding for small holes to very big gaps. It will be a good sound blocker as well. But make sure you do be careful because the foam does get all over the place and it might go where you don't want it.
