Rich168, thank you very much.  How's business on your side of town?  I'm in Los Angeles, not very good over here.  Appreciate the help.

Steve

Has anyone figured out how to get the factory motor wires on a 2010 chevy equinox/camaro to work with a aftermarket factory remote upgrade alarm? I've spent hours trying to figure a way for the alarm to read the factory motor wires. The motor wires rest around 7 volts, then when lock is pressed it drops to 0 volts, then jumps up to 12 volts and then goes back to rest at around 7 volts. I have tried 4 different brands of alarms, and when directly hooked into alarm the factory locks stop working all together. I've tried diodes, relay isolation, and just about everything you could name. I tried the tech support from the four alarms I was using and three of the techs had me try a relay setup that they thought would work, but no luck. If anyone out there has figured this out I would greatly appreciate some info.

Alex, this might not be ideal, but if there's no other way:
1. Set the alarm for passive arming, and explain to the customer that it has to be that way. So there's your arming part.
2. Find something else in the car that pulses when the factory keyless unlocks the doors. Hazards, parking lights? Tie your disarm in there.
I did that on a couple of Chrysler Pacificas (because driver's motor unlock was only available inside the driver's door), and they worked well.
