Though I do avoid words like boot (trunk), bonnet (hood) and wings (fenders). It's actually dificult because I know that the loom you were after is the driver's kick panel in the UK plus all the other r/h drive markets (more than you would believe, Japan, China, most of Africa, India), though US Jettas are made in the US, hence go to the rear light fittings, find the reverse light cable and see which side the loom, left or right is going towards the front. In fact on Mk lll Golfs, UK spec, it starts on the right then ends up going under the front seats to the left!!!
