That's what I do with the CAT5 wire as well. I cut the loop on the C2 ring and solder the ends to the CAT5 wire and works like a charm. I've been taking  the Sentry module off completely and wrapping the CAT5 wire on the inside of the ring for better induction.

That's exactly how I have been installing them too, otherwise there is really no good place to wrap the wire without taking off the sentry module. I still haven't had a chance to look at the C2 ring. I would think I could just use two of three wires on the three wire blue connector which is where the manual says the C2 ring gets plugged in. Do you know off hand which two pins the C2 ring uses?
Thanks again.

EDIT:   I figured out the C2 ring question. I just realized the C2 ring comes with the transponder. I thought is was on board.
Anyway, where do you go for 12v+? I can't stand going to the battery. Is there a wire at the top of the fuse block like on the Caravans? Thanks

There is a YELLOW/RED ( or YELLOW ) wire that tests 12 volts in a large gray plug on the driver's kick panel. You can use this wire for both 12 volt leads on your remotestarter. The wire is about 14 gauge in size.
