Gremlins would be there whether passive armed or not, also if the door triggers weren't working properly, you wouldn't get passive arming!  Checking the door and hood and trunk triggers is pretty straight forward,  I check whilst installing. This sounds like poorly fitted switches and wiring.

The installer told me that he used the factory hood and door inputs (I assume via the canbus module).  And I see no added switches other than tailgate.  Also, they work 100% for triggering alarm (I have checked they activated many times).  Guess it is time to find another installer to go through the system or suffer with my back and check through it myself.
