Wots up, need some advice please.
Got a 10inch car sub, whats happened is the wire that feeds from the terminal posts through the actual speaker has broken off where it goes through the actual speaker cone.
Tried soldering and gluing it back in place and worked for about a week but obviously due to vibration came loose again. Is there a way to replace that whole section of wire? Not to clued up on taking speakers apart, usually only work at making them pump :)

Yes thre is a way to replace the tinsel lead but no it is not generally something you can do yourself.  Is the speaker still under warranty?

This is probably from the cause of clipping your audio signal. Too much movement/flow of current. You maybe want to reconsider reading the setting your gain walk through.

It may have been until he tried to solder the wire back onto it.

Hi no the speaker is long out of warranty so that is not an option unfortunately, in fact as far as i know we don't even have agents for them in this country (Theatre Research)
When i researched them all i found were negative replies from people saying they were crap but ran that sub in my car for 2 1/2years and it even sounded better than a 12inch!
Did try to glue it back in place coz if you hold the wire it does make contact and start working but it just does not stay there...

maybe try using a peice of wire about 1-2" long soder one end onto the tinsel and the other onto the post? this will allow for the flex it needs so it does not keep pulling off
