Could someone please send me the stereo wiring code as I want to install an aftermarket system.  I saw one on this site but it appeared to not be complete as there are many more wires in the plug connector than was shown.

Please send to gwhite@tc3net.com

Thanks Much!

That's the wiring for the 03 grand cherokee but I'm assuming they're the same colors in your jeep liberty.  When in doubt, always check each wire's function with a DMM first though.

About the extra wires you talked about:  if you have steering wheel audio controls, then that would account for some of the unused wires.  Also, it's okay to have some wires that are not used, as most aftermarket decks only need power, +12v switched, ground, and the 8 speaker wires.

I'd highly recommend using a wiring harness instead of hardwiring--it'll make your install a lot easier and more reliable, and makes it easier to revert to factory equipment in the future.  Not to mention you won't have to worry about any of these wire colors as that's all part of the harness.  All YOU have to do is match up the colors on the aftermarket radio's harness, with the colors on the separate wiring harness you'll need to buy (such as the metra 70-6502).  Also you're probably gonna need an antenna adapter, too.
