i just a pair of 18 inch subs. the guy at the store said to give them each sealed 3.0cf. so i built a box that size and it sounds pretty good, better then i thought. but i think i would like a more boomier sound. if i built a new box giving them 3.5cf do you think i will acheive this?

i tried looking online to find some info about them but all i found was some korean website. i cant really complain because these subs did not cost much at all, i got them because i always wanted 18's. pretty much all my life i always got high quality and stayed away from the cheap brands but i thought i give some speakers a try.  they are from a company called zebra.

Post model numbers? Seems our crystal balls are AGAIN, out of order today...

"Zebra"?  Never heard of them.  Google returns nothing.  Gotta web site?  Where did you buy them?

dude Im pretty sure you bought a sub that is for a stage or something... like part of a DJ set up. That is all I can find on Zebra. They make main stage and PA system speakers and wires. Post a photo of what you bought on here so we can take a look at it. Also how much did you buy the sub for? Does it look old or weathered? Google pretty much returned nothing for me either. Foreign websites or caraudiodeals.com main stage speakers from zebra but no model number. Sorry man

Same dealie-o for me... Nothing. You must be a better web crawler than I am, and I consider myself to be a pretty good one! :)
Post the website you found, please?
I'm beginning to think you might have "gotten taken".

I found some listings on Flea-Bay for off-market woofers called "Zebra" with a nice looking logo printed on the dustcap and backs of some Pyramid-looking speakers.  I would not recommend using them without additional information.

I wouldn't...they seem like a no name brand very low quality subwoofer. I'd rather spend that 100 bucks on a decent 12 inch sub and sound a helluva lot better than those two 18s.
This is those subs probably have a very weak motor structure and crap specs...so the enclosures you are using are probably way too small.
3 cu ft for any 18 is small
