A few things UP FRONT

1. Yes i have tried to contact EA

2. My Grounds are very good :)

Heres the issues... I just installed an excessive Amperage 200 amp s10 alty with an external voltage regulator into my 89 crx dx 1.5 liter... There was no place to plug in the stock alty plug to the PCM. So its just dangling there... The lights in the car and the idle flickers (dims and brightens) as the engine revs. The higher the load placed on the car... the worse the effect.

One of my teamates came over last night and said that the stock Alty plug might need to be miniputed in order for the PCM to stock affecting the idle.

I checked the alty plug and found there are 4 different pins... 2 veritcal pins parralell on top and 2 horizontal pins below the vertical pins...

The top Vertical pins are ingition hots showing the cars voltage...

The bottom left pin is a ground

The bottom right pin appears to be a field line showing around 4.5-4.6 voltage (guessing thats the voltage regulator pin for hte stock one)

We did some testing throwing loads on the car and checking the stock alty "FIELD" pin and it fluctuates as we place a load on there as if the pcm is trying to control it and having issues...

Any assistance would be appreicated! IM LEAVING FOR WORLD FINALS TOMORROW EEEEK!

Im having the same issue with my irragi alt on my Civic coupe.....I redid the grounds and it has gone away about 90% but still there after the car warms up.
I just plan to make sure the car is good and cold at finals    LOL

when you get down to tulsa, come find me or josh brown.    Josh would probably be best to get it figured out..
I have redone my power/field/and ground wires on my alt to get it working right
