hids

does anyone know if HID's are legal in california? is 6k legal? im not sure :\?anyone know any good brands without breaking the bank?i have a 1993 camry and im afraid if i do install HID's im thinking the lens on my car will make the HID's all blurry :\. thanks,.

That's one reason it should be illegal. (Others may include self-levelers etc.) It's the only reason I'd need NOT to fit them. Nor blue lights, etc.

If your lenses are not clear then they won't turn out good. You need to retrofit projectors in your headlamps in order for the HID's to work properly and NOT blind other drivers if you just stick HID bulbs into your stock sockets they will definatly be ilegal and you run the chance of causing an accident. There is alot of information on Hid Planet. A good set of projectors and bulbs will run a few hundred dollars but is worth the investment to do the job properly.
