Got a Compustar P2W900FMR installed on my truck. The Two Way remote worked a couple times and now will not. Tried to relearn it to the truck with no luck. Screen on the remote only shows the battery and Time. When I press any button the little telephone pole Icon flashes and thats it. No communication with the truck. My 1-way works like a champ however.   Any ideas?

Does it show the lock/unlock icon too? If not, I'd return it and get another remote as it should always show that too.

I know programming the remote can be a pita at the best of times, so maybe try again a few more times? It took me about five times the first time I tried ;)

Make sure you are turning the key fast enough when programming the remote. It has to see ignition 5 times within 10 seconds. You will know if it was successful if the park lights flash once. They really aren't a PITA once you get used to it.
Did you see the park lights flash as described above, and then flash again when you hit button 1 on the remote? If not, then you didn't program it correctly.

Ive tried the reprogram several times. I will try a few more. It shows the unlock icon on the screen as well. The "telephone" pole icon shows zero bars with it and flashes once with any button press then goes off.

Did you get the proper park light flashes when you were programming? Did you check the battery in the remote?

What brain do you have? It will only program up to a cm-4 or higher. If you have the new SS RF-P2W9000-SS, you will need a CM-6 series controller. If not you need another remote.

its the CM 4200DX. The remote came with the brain in a kit so it should work with the unit. It worked for a few times and now does not. Just thinking its broke as a joke.
