I will be putting in a nustart 4502 and the ads multi can module
as far as getting the windows to go up and down with the remote, if I wire the lock and unlock W2W instead of data and I take aux 1 output and wire it to lock and set it for the desired amount of time will this put my windows UP and Down, because the remote has a single button for arm/lock and disarm/unlock or will I need aux 1 and aux 2 to get this done

if anyone has any info so I can get this done that would be great

Yes, this will work. Set the AUX 1 and AUX 2 for 8-10 seconds and you should be able to control the windows witht he extended pulses. Just make sure that you turn off secure auxilary so you can just press the button once instead of having to press two buttons.... just easier for the end user.

The extended pulse on the Idatalink will not work for the window controls. The protocol for the windows is different than the door locks and will require a direct connection from the AUX 1 and AUX 2 to the door wires at the module inside the door. As far as the defrost, you can change one of the POC wires to option # 17 for Defrost and this wire will control the defrost option for you.

yah I also talked to tech support at idatalink and they said it wouldn't work, I would need to go into the door to do this

however they also said they will be updating the firmware so the modules will control windows and sunroof, but not till the spring time

thanks for the info on the rear defrost, I will be using the blade AL to get this done

Mike
