Hello I am rebuilding my system and looking to go with a single 12" sub. I have a RF 1500 mono amp that is 1 ohm stable. I am looking at the 12W7, RE MX 12, Orion HCCA, Audioque 12 or am open to any other suggestions. I want something that will sound well but when I turn the bass up I have the ability to make it hard to breathe!

Is the w6 in a vented or sealed box? What amp do you have to it?

Of those choices I'd use the JL first, the RE or Audioque as second choice, and the Orion as a door stop.

Is the RE pretty equivalent to the JL?

No.  In my opinion the JLW7 outclasses anything from RE.

The W7 is the way to go. I had 1 W7 with a slash series 500 watt amp and that was awesome. Now I have 2 W7s with a 1000 watt slash series amp.
