I installed a new Viper 5301 on my 2005 F150 this weekend. First time and things went rather well. Locks all work, remote start works. However, I don't get any parking light feedback. Parking lights work fine from the switch. Just no parking lights when remote started. I have the white wire (H1/11) to the brown wire (pin 6) at the BCM. Looking through the docs I see there is a setting in the viper unit for + vs - light. Just wondering what default is. I already have everything back together and want to see if this is most likely my problem.
One other note, it has automatic headlights. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Thanks,
jon

Isolate the wire by using the white to light side and WHITE/ brown to switch side. And remember to put your fuse in on the positive side inside the Viper unit.

yep, open the hatrch on the unit and install the 10A fuse that came with your unit in either the + or - jumper position. I only know because I just had said problem ;)

again, the fuse in the 5301. the "default" setting is off as they don't put the +/- selectable light flash fuse in there so you have to make the choice

Thanks for all the responses. Stupid rookie mistake on my part. First system install. Didn't realize the fuse wasn't installed at all. Then had things all tied up before I noticed parking lights weren't on.
