compustar/yukon wierdness after bodyshop

I have a Compustar SS alarm/remote start in both my truck and my car. I installed them myself a few years back and haven't had many issues until today. I got my truck back from the body shop today and they complained that the alarm kept going off and they had to remove fuses from the alarm to get it to shut up but they put them back in before pickup. So, since it's -20C around here now naturally I'm happy to have remote start back, except it doesn't work anymore. When I press button 2 for 2 seconds the alarm does the standard chirp but then the door locks start unlocking, after that the exterior and dash light come on so I assume at that point it's providing ignition and accessory power, I can even hear the fuel pump prime but, it never cranks the starter. It just seems to sit there as if it's running but it's not, no parking light flash codes no nothing. At this point the remote doesn't respond to anything except holding button 2 again which is suppose to shut the truck off, it kills acc and ign power at that point and the door locks start to go for no reason again. Since my car is in the garage for the winter I decided to pull the CM3000 brain out of that to see if there was a problem with the brain in the truck but I get the exact same result. I also tested the starter output wire at the brain while trying to remote start and there is nothing there so the brain is not even sending 12 volts to the starter wire. All fuses (3) are there and are good. I have redone the tach programming and I have also reprogrammed the DEI 457G module. At this point it seems the only thing I can say for sure is that it's not a problem with the brain because the exact same problem exists using either, door lock wierdness and all. Any suggestions are appreciated. Truck is a 2003 GMC Yukon, the alarm brain is a Compustar CM3000 and the interface module is a DEI 457G. Thanks.

Where was the damage on the vehicle?  Did you check to make sure the pinswitch for the hood was intact?

Thanks for the reply. The damage was purely cosmetic, the hood pin switch is still intact but I never got around to hooking the wire up to it anyway. The pin switch wire is suppose to go to ground when the hood is opened and since it's not hooked up to anything it shouldn't be a problem ever. Also, I think that usually if there is a problem with something like the hood pin there would be a parking light flash code.

Reprogram the bypass module.  if power was diconnected may have lost code.

Make sure that the features on the CM3000 hasn't flipped over to option 2 on all the features. I've seen this happen numerous times on different vehicles where the default settings were all changed to option 2.Jeff

lspker, I did reprogram the 457G. Well I managed to fix it. The solution was to reset the alarm/starter to factory default settings by pressing buttons 1 and 2 for 2 seconds then pressing button 3, 3 times. After that everything works fine. My reasoning behind the factory reset was that I realized that a lot of the wierd things it was doing were non-factory default options that I would have never programmed, so my theory is that with all the bodyshop people's button pressing to try to figure out how to get the alarm off they somehow changed a bunch of programming options. Thing is that obviously my car brain has some messed up settings too, my dad has on occasion had problems with the car alarm and has gone crazy pressing all kinds of buttons. I think there might be a combination of buttons that when pressed changes all settings to non-factory default settings. Thanks for the help guys.

The last two times this happened, the person boosted the vehicle and accidentally had the polarity wrong on ther terminals and shorted out momentarily. This may have happended at the bodyshop but I just assuming things here. Nothing happens to the CM3000 but nothing works right after this happens.
