The output of the 5901 is flip flop, both positive and negative, the green-negative on lock and positive on unlock, the blue- negative on unlock and positive on lock.

According to this site's diagram it is positive trigger, so, have you tested the wires to verify them?. It's possible you may need a relay to boost the signal!. Someone else will have to verfiy this! It's also possible that you could need to diodes inline bands facing away from the alarm, again someone who has actually done that vehicle will have to chime in!

i have tested them and they only show a negative pulse from the remote. if they were flip flop wouldnt they still work, just backwards? the instructions that came with it says it is negative. thanks

Well you can use relays to flip the polarity!

Pin 87 and 86 of both relays fused at five amps

pin 85 of each relay- one to the lock trigger from alarm the other 85 of the second relay to unlock

pin 30 of both relays to the respective unlock and lock trigger wires of the car!

thanks ted, but how do you flip the polarity? when testing the two wires one green and one blue, i can only get a neg pulse. on the install directions from there website it says neg. or pos. but on the install sheet that came with it it say only neg. wich is what it shows when i test it.

You don't flip the polarity! the unit does this automatically! Unless dei made changes that i'm unaware of!

Here's an easy test, take the positive and negative of the meter and attach one probe to the lock and the other to the unlock, when you arm an disarm yiou should get a positive twelve volt reading one way and a negative twelve volt the other! This way you would be able to tell if the unit is properly outputting!
