Hi! New to the forum. I'm preparing to do a remote start install on an 07 H3.  It's going to be a viper 5501 with an idatalink ADS-DL-GM4. I just did one on my 07 chevy duramax and it went without a hitch. The hummer has me confused. Since the bypass module itself connects to the ignition harness, which wires from the remote start do i hook up?  ignition and accessory only?  I appreciate any help, tips, and advice. tks!

Did you look at the type 3 wiring diagram for the module. It tells you exactly what you need to hook up. 12volts, Ign, and accessory. No need to pull the steering column cover on this vehicle. Once you have pulled the knee bolster, you will be able to see the harnesses coming out of the steering column, and run into some plugs to the left of the column. You can get all of your wires here, except 12 volts, your data, and your drivers door trigger for the R.A.P. shutdown. Make sure you hook up this green R.A.P. shutdown wire, as it also wakes up the canbus sytem during the remote start process.

Yes, I saw that on the type 3 diagram, I just wanted to make sure i understood it correctly. It just didnt seem like enough wires. But it makes sense. I appreciate the reply. Tks.
