Was cleaning off some snow on my car, had remote started the car at first. Then I had put the key in to turn it on and closed the door. Shortly after, the doors locked. Luckily I had spare keys laying around (not for my car) and a spare vehicle. Had to travel 26 miles round trip to get the spare keys for my car.
Lesson learned.
A friend/co-worker of mine recently did this as well...they were actually delivering the vehicle to the customer (had some work done to it, we did not do the alarm install). Had to use the slim jim to get in the car.
I will never program ignition controlled locks to be on anymore...unless customer specifically requests it of course, and understands the consequences.
