i understand i can make a number of thigs the "switch" butwhats lines coming out of the relay do i use?

to add the "switch" i would need another relay correct? and to have another device such as the amp turn on i need a diode as well? i have seen the diagrams I just tend to over analyze things sometimes

what gauge wire shoud i be use to extend the wires?
