I have been installing for many years and in the last two years I have stoped doing it for a job. On the side I do a car once in a while, so today I put an avital 5303 in a 05 tahoe easy truck so I thought. I got done in about half an hour but I cant get the DLPK GM to program. I went wire to wire not data to data. hooked purple to the purple dionostic wire, and it will not go into program mode. I follow the instuctions by my understanding is to push and hold program button plug first harness in then the led should light up and it does nothing.   I just did a 07 silverado last week and had the same problem with the dlpk but for some dumb reason it worked without programing. any Ideas????

On the 4-pin harness that has the power and ground, what colors did you use?
You'd think it would be red and black, wouldn't you? Well, someone at DEI needs a slap upside the head.
Black is ground, and constant is......blue! The red and white don't go to anything.
