Hey guys! I have a Valet 552t remote start on my 2000 Dodge Caravan that will not turn over the engine. I get no response from the Led. The remote has new batteries. Any Ideas? I checked all fuses. It was working fine up until last year and then didnt need it since it was getting warm.

Nothing. If I press the 1 button it will lock and unlock the doors. Nothing happens with the 2 or pressing both buttons.

Was a Hood Pin Switch installed?? If so, remove it...but also check to make sure your BLACK/ white wire coming off the starter is grounded properly, or that the Switch that the BLACK/ white wire is supposed to go to is turned on. Also, is your Brake Switch operating properly? Make sure the Brown wire is not getting a Positive reading. If the Brown wire is triggered by 12volt it will not allow the starter to activate.

The Hood Pin Switch wire coming off the starter is Gray. Make sure that wire is not connected to anything, especially a ground. When that wire receives ground you cannot activate your starter. The lock/unlock will still work, but the starter won't. Hood pin switches are very unreliable because they corrode and THIS ISSUE happens.
