I just finished installing my alarm . . .

i am trying to get my turbo timer to work with it now.  this is really tricky so far, as i have two problems.  1, the alarm won't arm when the car is running, it will lock the doors and that's all.  2, even if the alarm did arm, the car idling would set off the shock senor.  ( know this from experience with a buddies car)

So, is there a way I can set up relays to get around these problems?  for the shock sensor i'm not sure how that could work, cause i would need the relay to trip when it no longer had power (ie, when the ignition shuts off).  Unless there is something in the car that has power when it is off but not when it is on?  I don't know, any ideas would be very helpful.

thanks.

You could set the alarm to passive arming and wire a relay that would make the alarm think that the door is open when the timer is on. This way when the timer shuts off then the alarm would think that the door is closed and should arm itself after about thirty seconds. Just a thought.
