intersting problem with 5701 and rap

I have a viper 5701 installed on a 2007 Uplander and I have noted a bit of a problem with the remote start and the RAP (retain accessory power) after car turned off until door is opened. Everything works fine, EXCEPT.... when I remote start the van, then turn off the van again with remote, the accessories (because of the RAP) stay on until some one goes out and physically opens the door of the van. I figured an easy fix to the problem would be to simply disconnect the accessory output wire (big orange wire)and not use it. But to my amazement the accessory circuit continued to come to life anyway anyway (my guess is some sort of crossover somewhere between the ignition circuit and accessories) So the problem persists even with the orange wire disconnected. What I was thinking of doing next is sending a pulse to the driver's side door switch (maybe use the factory arm wire or something similar) to sort of FAKE an opening/closing of the door after the remote shut down but then that may trigger the alarm. I'm sure some body has run into this before so there must be a better way of handling this. Any ideas? My wiring is nothing special. Routine stuff with nothing in the way of options.

Sorry, I should also add (if this makes any difference) that the ignition wire that I tied the 5701 (heavy pink wire) into was the pink ignition wire coming off the steering column (key ignition switch)and not at the BCM. This is also true for the starter input and output wires.

rearm pulses doorpin... you could isolate it... if it's a - doorpin circuit i usually just make a direct connection to R/S rearm....Kevin Gerry
