you can use any of the outputs that you dont need that will offer a ground while its about to rs.

using status output, or ign will do.

enice is right about the trunk, but i just like to take extra precaution so i dont burnout the output.

ok

Another problem- My doors will lock but will not unlock. i've hooked it up according to how i should and it will not unlock. i've tried to set it to option1-2 for the double pulse, i can hear the relay in the box now go on and off twice but no unlock happens.

tes the unlock output form the unit. is it working?

yes, its 5volts just like the "lock" wire which is working

you must hae got the wrong wire on the car. dod you test it before connecting?

i figured it out, had to setup the double pulse....

So where do you recommend going through the firewall at for the siren?  last piece to the puzzle and then im done.

look under the dash around the firewall area. look for a factory loom heading out into the engine bay. you should be able to find out and pull your wires through.
