I installed a Hornet 727t in my 2003 Ford F350.  The truck has factory remote keyless.  Almost everything works perfectly except I do not understand one thing. It may be working correctly, but I am not sure. When I press the lock switch on the door, With the door open as I am getting out of the car, it arms the alarm.  Is this how it is soposed to act?  If I unlock with the lock switch, while armed, it does not disarm the alarm.  I know this is correct, but it says nothing about this in the book as far as I can find.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

yes, this is an add on unit.  It is a DEI Hornet 727T.  I think it is the same as the viper 330v

Can anyone help with this?  The issue I am having is that when you press the door lock twice inside the vehicle, it causes the panic feature to go off.  This is a bad thing when you are driving down the road and somone bumps the door lock.  I can disable the panic feature if neccisary, but dont really want to.  Thanks.
