hi, im looking to install a laserline 921 to my car, the alarm has + for 2 indicator outputs, i need to pulse - signals to trigger indicator outputs, the alarm doesent have selectable pos or neg outputs for indicator lamps... how can i get around this please?  How can i get deadlocking to work when i arm my alarm?

kind regards Umran

Take one of the indicator outputs and relay it to neg or find the pos lines, blue/something, check your rear lights for the colour, looms behind the glovebox. Laserline, Cobra etc. are totally wrong for this car, non-programmable for timed outputs etc. to give you autolock, window close deadlocking etc.

First lock the car with the key and manually hold the key in its deadlock and window close position at least 4 secs. That should part close the windows and lock the fuel filler. If not it's the car not the alarm (is the fuel flap actuator working?).
If that does it, alarm must be programmed for total (comfort) close and a 1N4004 diode should go from the lock output, after the relay to the unlock with its band towards unlock. I did mention this a while back.

Yes leave out the diode and see your locking system fail to work...if you're lucky otherwise, BANG = £££££
Just realised you're fitting a Laserline. Unless it has a timed or holding output, forget deadlock and window close, it isn't up to it apart from the fact that it's a piece of crap, Italian alarms without aux outputs are totally unsuited to modern cars.

the laserline does have a holding output on lock/unlock wires for 10 seconds which is triggered by holding the button down! can this be used? if i lock the car via key i just need to turn the key and not hold it for 4 seconds to lock everything including petrol flap...

Yes. Holding output to relay 85, 86 and 87 to constant 3 amp fused source, 30 to lock and unlock via inline 1N4004 diodes. This will give you deadlock and window close.

You need the relay because that holding wire is neg and your lock triggers are pos. Are you sure you want to attempt this?
