Chances are that is what they are doing. The pole is always connected to the constant power wire which slowly draws power from the battery.

ok......I went to a car security specialty shop and bought relays(the same they use). They are the 5 prong. I hooked then up. My lock works great, but my unlock doesn't work at all.

do you want it to be a keyless entry system? If so then buy a keyless entry module or alarm and follow the instructions. For more replies to your post and more professional help (i'm not one) create your own post. The people here are awesome and they would be more than happy to help ya. By he way, what are the prices like in lebanon? just curious.

originally i had the tan one. This didn't work either, so........ i tried the thin black one. This also doesn't work. It blows my mind though because when they are disconnected the unlocking doesn't work at all, not by  remote or by the door switches. So these have to be the right wires. Should i try tieing into both of them maybe?

let me explain how stupid i am.  The relays are the prewired type that plugs and unplugs into itself. In the hour i've spent probing wires i could not figure out what was wrong. Then about 5 min ago i was working again and i felt something jab my side. It was the other part of the relay lying on the floor. I had it all wired and ready, but  I FORGOT TO PLUG IT IN!!!!!!! i am very sorry for wasting your time on me. But thank you!
