2005 tacoma key program

We have issues with blanks at Carmax all the time. They are really clone keys that just duplicate the existing coded key, so they won't work as a second key. Because of this, you need a programmer to use one unless it's the 3rd key and you already have 2 factory ones. Carmax will sell a car with one factory key then get a guy to clone a second aftermarket key so the customer has 2, then expect us to install a remote start using an Idatalink bypass. It simply won't work because the codes are the same and it thinks it is seeing the same key twice...Mike M2
