Tach programmed?
The difference between amateurs and pros.
They (the amateurs) assume and we test.
Please run that NSS to the parking brake, at least it makes ME feel safer.

dasbogie, I tried putting the nss into the off position and we are making progress. Ok at least i can activate the remote start but when i want to turn the car on it wont start. I can see the cluster moving and the viper brain trying to start the sorento but nothing happens. This is the sequence i am doing.
(remember i have a manual transmission)
1. Start the car with me inside.
2.engage emergency brake.
3.put the car in neutral.
4. press the break pedal.
5. turn the nss switch to On position.
6. release break pedal.
7. press the remote start button on the remote (green light comes on and chimes)
8. remove key (car is still on and running)
9.exit car
10. arm car (car automatically shuts down)
So I am assuming the remote start was properly activated
now when i try to remote start to turn on the car I press the remote start button on the remote and a green light comes on and a chime and i can se the the viper brain trying to remote start because i can se movement on the cluster , but the cars never starts. I don't think this car has an immobilizer because it did not came with a factory alarm and the key does not has a chip.
Any more advices are greatly appreciated! Thanks dasbogie for your time.

Hello,
I just finished installing a viper 5701 car alarm with remote start. I got everything working so far with help from this forum. The only thing that i need is to bypass the clutch in order for the remote start to work. The remote start activates and everything I only need to bypass the clutch. I have a 2004 kia sorento with manual transmission. If anyone can tell me how to bypass the clutch (what cables do i need to connect to the viper alarm and things like that) i would really appreciated it. This is the only thing i need in order to have remote start. Thank you very much before hand.

Ok I was able to do the clutch bypass on a 2004 kia sorento with manual transmission. All I did was to connect the yellow/black wire from the clutch switch into the purple wire (starter output wire on the viper 5701). And that is the clutch bypass. There is no need for a relay.
**Moderators you can close this post everything is resolve!!... :) Thank you!

Is the 5701 a manual safe remote start?

Yes the 5701 is a manual safe remote start. There is a procedure you have to do every time to activate the remote start. ex. opening a door while putting the handbrake and pressing the brake things like that or else it wont work. :)
