i have two jl tweets in my grand marquis off of a jvc amp each tweet gettin a bit less than fourty watts, i put my ear up to them i can hear like static or whatver you wanna call it, so i can tell its getting a signal, however now music is coming through. any suggestions?

What are you using for your crossover?

Can you test the amp with other speakers to verify that it works?

Can you test the tweeters on another amp to verify that they work?

i dont have another amp to test the tweets but i do have other speakers, and they have a crossocer built into them

Do the other speakers work with the amp?

What about the amps' crossover? Is the crossover on the amp set to full range?

ill try the other speakers, but yes the crossover is set to "off"

You say the crossovers came with the tweeters. what's the make/model?

the tweets are tro50-ct and the amp is a jvc ks-ax3002
