Does anyone have a wire diagram for the new 2004 Maxima? I need it for a remote start alarm, have tried searching elsewhere but no new info for that year yet!

also, do I need a transponder?

thanks

I just added a remote start to the factory keyless entry on a 2004 Nissan Maxim. Here are some of the wire colors I found.

12 volt-green-at ignition

acc-wht/blue-at ignition

ing 1-thin blk/red-at ignition

ing 2-red-at ignition

start 1-thick blk/red-at ignition

start 2-blk/yel

brake-RED / green-at brake switch

park lights-RED / blu-at dimmer

the lock wires are behind the fuse box

hope this info helps you

that's great thanks!

Will the 555u immobilizer from DEI work on the Maxima? if not which did you use?

also, did you use a tach wire?

thanks again

the dei transponder peice will work. i used an audiovox as-tcbm. also for tach signal i just went to one of the fuel injectors. i know you can go to fuel injectors for a tach signal with the audiovox remote starts. not sure with any other brand. most you don't even need a tach anymore. they use voltage to sense when the engine is running.
