wiring, infiniti g35 2008 remote starter

I am not sure if I understand the meaning of the W2W connection. I don't have D2D port in my remote starter (Finally bought an ultra start 1155) 1: This allow the remote starter to communicate with the bypass module or this wiring is optional? 2: I don't understand why the parking lights input is wired to the bypass module?! On the previous page of the PDF, we clearly see how to connect the parking lights into my car, so Im confused about this: Thanks and sorry of those questions are stupid!!
