Follow the PLJX guide on Page 6 for your car.  Set jumper to "B" position.

As for wiring to the remote starter,  Red goes to +12v constant, Black goes to chassis ground, Pink goes to Ignition, Violet goes to Starter and Brown goes to a signal called (-) Out When Running.  Rather than running the wires all the way to the ignition switch you can connect to the corresponding remote starter wires ( that go to the ignition switch ).  Just remember not to connect the Brown  wire until after its programmed.

As some may have noticed i have installed(ish) a remote starter on my 2005 pontiac sunfire 2.2 ecotec.(standard)

I know all my wires are in the right places besides the door pins as i am waiting for diodes to come in. however it just wont start.

after looking into it some more I have come across the need for a clutch bypass.. would this be needed ? if so could someone kindly explane the best way for this to be done in my car ...some diagrams would be great to thank you (alot)

or is this just not needed ? or can you think of anything else that would be needed thanks.

First and foremost - is the remote starter "manual transmission safe"?   Which brand & model?

Try a remote start with the clutch pedal depressed.

Or try to start the car with the key and the clutch pedal not depressed ( transmission in neutral, please  remote starting, 2005 sunfire - Page 2 -- posted image.  )

hey yes it is a standard safe remote start 3 in one pro start two way remote..

I know there is a formula to put it in ready mode but that dose not seem to want to work either..the power trunk works and will arm the theft system however the remote starting will not happen.

either way would anyone be able to direct my to a clutch bypass for my car as well of some tips/ thing to ways to find a way to get it working.

thanks

Weak battery?  The remote start & bypass do add some drain.

If you cut the Starter wire to add in the starter kill relay, double check for poor connections.

Not familiar with ProStart 3 in 1 unit.  Most units have a procedure to get the unit in "Reservation" or "Ready" Mode.  Typically the door triggers and the Emergency Brake must be connected & working.

As for the clutch bypass, here is a recent thread with the basic info :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~123887~PN~1  You want to make sure the unit is in Manual Trans mode, the door triggers and EBrake are hooked up and do all the safety checks.  These ensure that the car is in neutral & running, the doors are locked before the engine is turned off ( Reservation Mode entry ).  Also the doors are never opened again before the remote start.

If you cant start the car regularly, you obviously did something wrong. What model bypass are you using? Its possible that you didnt hook that up correctly.

And at the very worst....maybe you blew a fuse.

Could be a weak battery like kreg said too.
