Hi I am installing a remote start in a 2007 Caliber with a ADS-AL(DL)-CH5 bypass from Idata link and have read about C2 rings .My downloaded instructions dont mention it .It is wired directly into the Canbus leads .My other concern was the diode shown in the instructions for isolating the ignition, what type and size will work? Will this module work as shown

Good news.  The ADS AL CA does not need the ADS RNG C2 transponder ring for immobilizer bypass.

The diode show in the guide is a 1N4001, available at "the shack".

Some 2007 Calibers had a start wire and would follow the Type 1 install guide, while others did not have the Start wire and would follow the Type 2 install.

Soldering is fun!
