YTF do you want a capacitor?
Is there any reason you cannot use an AGM battery instead - eg, a 12V 1.2AH, or maybe 12V 7AH, or larger?
Is there some reason that a 2F or 20F capacitor would work better than a 1.2AH AGM?

capacitors are a waist of money. they are really only useful for extreme systems to stabilize voltage in short bursts. they dont give you more power, they dont make your system louder, all they typically do is light up and look pretty.

I have always been a big fan of the Craptastic (TM Registered By Haemphyst) branded capacitors.  Photo Follows.

They do have their uses... (not that many seem to understand what they are though!) As soundnsecurity wrote... "for extreme systems" - as in certain rare situations....
And further to soundnsecurity's "they don't make your system louder", as many attest - they will lower (peak?) SPL.
My bottom argument is why pay premium price when a cheaper and superior solution exists? (car-Ching bling!!)

Yep I will put my vote towards the Craptastic (TM Registered By Haemphyst) branded capacitors. They are the best ones on the market today. capacitor brands -- posted image.
Just don't ask the local stereo shops, they will get jealous and try and push you towards their own brand of cap the tell you all the wonderful stories of how well they work and the Craptastic (TM Registered By Haemphyst) branded capacitors are inferior.
I do expect my royalty check for pumping the Crapastic brand of cap capacitor brands -- posted image.

I think this is a Pyramid type marketing thing, Once Haem gets enough cash he is probably going to kick me some for at least designing the Logo, then once I think I have got enough from him I will kick you some.  So be watching your mailbox closely.

But I like caps.
I just hate how people get suckered & ripped off. (Thinking they solve "other" problems or beat cheaper solutions....)
