I installed a compustar and a xk09 into a 2000 GMC Sierra and the xk09 is not getting programmed. I did the sequence and it doesn't want to program. I made all the right connections but once i get to the step of starting the car and it should blink then turn off it does nothing. Thanks in advance

im still having an issue with this vehicle. I couldnt get the XK09 to work so i ordered a dlpkgm to see and it also didnt work so i used a DBAll and i got that to work fine but then a half hour after the customer leaves he calls and says his car dont start so i go and see and the car wouldnt start at all with or without the key. After about 15 mins the car starts with the key and so i try to remote start and it doesnt work and again the car wont start so i wait another 15 and the car starts. Anyone ever had this issue before. I tried to reprogram the DBALL and it learns the code but doesnt want to remote start. Thanks in advance.

I've honestly never had issues with gm trucks for remote starts. usually they're like 45 minute installs give or take. maybe this one happens to have an oddball resistance like some saturns do... I'd just use the 2 relay method for bypass personally at this point.

very simple, and it saves the customer money and if you wanted to you could charge a bit more in labor and the customer generally still saves money.
