I am installing a Expresskit DBALL module & DEI 5301 R/S on a 2011 Sonata w/smartkey. I have the tech sheet but from the schematic diagram the DBALL wiring states I do not need to use the heavy gauge wires for the remote start?? Is this correct? Or will I need to add them along with the DBALL wiring?

if your using D2D you will only need to hook up:

2x heavy guage Power wires (red)- which will connect to the I/P junction box Pin 13 (RED) on the plug to the bottom left

the heavy guage (+) ignition wire from the remote start to the Dball modules pin 9 (pink) on the 10-pin plug.

and then tap into that ignition wire with a diode isolated wire (diode band facing the wire you just tapped(ignition wire)

connect that wire to pin 11 (Pink) which is in the plug to the right on the I/P junction box
