Did you ground the small black with white safety neutral wire off of the viper is the toggle switch plugged in and in the on position and did you program it to automatic transmission mode and yes the security is bypassed by the module when you activate the remote start. If you have it wired D2D you should not need the status wire hooked up the D2D connection should take care of that.

Ok on that one you do need the status wire.
