Hey dyer,

I must have missed the beginning of the thread somewhere but what brand and model is your remote starter?  An easy way to find the (-) Start Activation input is by quickly sending a negative pulse through a test light on all wires one at a time until you have a reaction.

i have a crimestopper cs-2011rs. About an hour ago i went to a place where alarms are installed and i asked what this was and they told me it was just a bunch of big words that mean simply...its the ground wire. they told me to hook it up to the (-) battery terminal. Can i hook it up to a chassis gound instead?

Hey dyer,

I think you misunderstood them. The ground is the black wire while the Green (-) Start Activation input is used in conjunction with an alarm system or other keyless system.  For example if you connect the trunk release output wire of your alarm to this wire you will be able to remote start using your alarm remote.  (-) Start Activation input -- posted image.

so where exactly does the Green (-) Start Activation input wire go? My alarm remote has a button for the remote start. I want to use my trunk release for my trunk which also has its own button.

Hey dyer ,

If you have the remotes that came with the cs-2011rs then you don't connect the green wire anywhere.  Just tape the end and forget about it like it doesn't exist!  (-) Start Activation input -- posted image.

My install....... Few problems. First I only get a little bit of time a day, so i'm still in the process. When My alarm goes off it drains the battery in about a minute. Why is this? Also, my lock button works, but my unlock doesn't.  Got any ideas? My trunk pin doesn't have a switch, so do i just ground the wire going to it?
