I installed an Excaliber AL-1820-EDP in my 2004 F150.  I installed the safety input wire to the parking brake warning light circuit but I don't want to have to apply the parking brake everytime I want the remote start to be available.  Is there a nuetral safety switch or some other way to connect this wire?  I tried searching but couldn't find anything specific.  Any help is appreciated.

if you must have the key in the ignition to take it out of park, you could make the key buzzer throw a relay to unhook the neutral safety wire when there is a key in the ignition AND the RS is functioning.

Thanks for the info.  Was hoping not to have to install a relay.  There has to be another way to install it.  Anyone?

Would I use the Digital Transmission Range Switch?  If so, which wire?

Im thinking if I use the DTRS, I should use the tan/red wire.  Not 100% sure though.

since the PCM connects the ground to the starter relay, and the positive feed is from the ignition switch then through the DTRS, the vehicle won't start unless it is in Park or Neutral. you can ground the safety input wire, maybe even wire a SPST switch inline disable the remote starting features. no need to worry about a neutral safety switch for that vehicle. you are obtaining/connecting your high current ignition switch wires at the column?
