also, whats up with the crappy amps on that site?

There is no such thing as a "car sub". ANY woofer can be used ANYWHERE as long as you make certain your load is correctly matched to the outputs of your amplifier.
On the left side, search under manufacturers, (LONG drop-down menu) and select TCSounds.
Yep. The amps suck. They're originally a DIY speaker builder's supply, and they've branched out. Don't bother with the amps avaialable there... Like you said, they're crap. (If you want one of the most KICK-*** 12V USB sound-card/pre-amps ever, though, check out "Topping" there... Also in the mfr's list.)
As far as building a larger enclosure? Sure, you can do that... You'll gain extension, but lose output. Nothing you can do about it. Me? I'd put those dudes in about 1.0 to 1.2 cubes, heavily braced, and unstuffed. Should get you somewhere in the 27 to 28Hz range for your F3. Your mechanical power handling will be significantly lower than your electrical power handling, however. What that means is: "You'll beat 'em to death on the stops, before you ever blow it with too much power".

I'm sorry, what's extension vs output? Lol
Would the larger enclosure benefit sound quality? To get all ranges of bass? If that makes any sense....
Thanks for all the info

Extension="Goes Deeper"
Output="How loud it'll get"
Bigger box goes deeper, but will not play as loud, due to the loss of mechanical power handling.

and does it make a difference between marine and non-marine?

why the PDX1.600 over the MRP-M500 and others?

Unstuffed... Just what it sounds like - no stuffing.
Sealed.
NEVER use plywood. Good plywood, truly suitable for speaker cabinetry, is VERY expensive. MDF is a far better choice.
Size, primarily. That, and I love the PDX amps.
