Can anyone help with a small project? I am wanting to shave my door handles and add a remote start to my 2001 tahoe.  I am looking for help on using the lock unlock feature for the remote start , tot rip ( aka Pop upen the front Drivers door). I i can set this up this way then i could in effect use the factory door switch to unlock, or pop open in this case, the other doors. Is this possible?  Can anyone provide me with more info on how to do this? I can add and wire up the solenoids to each with no probablem, i just need a little help on using the lock/unlock feature from the remote start to trip the solenoids allowinf me to upeon the doors. I don't really care about being able to lock these doors as if you can't fine the handle why do you need to lock them, but just in case it would be nice.

Thanks for all the help. I can be contacted at vinylconcepts@hotmail.com.    Robert

Look in the relay section, add actuator, it's exactly the same except you have solenoids instead of a lock/unlock actuator. The solenoid technically is an actuator.

It would actually be much easier to remove mechanism and any wiring from the key and control the factory locks, same level of security.
