hello im new here.i have a 1992 chevy camaro and ive been into car audio for a while but have been trying to step it up a bit.i recentley bought a memphis pr1.1000 amp and have it hooked to 2 diamond audio d312d4s wired down to one ohm and in a memphis ported box.well im on my second set of subs from a local dealer and there on there way out.down low before any real bass hits it has a weird noise to it like something rubbing almost.but uploud it still pounds just like my first set did until one seized rite tight and wouldn't move.well the amp settings were set by the local shop.and i have a pioneer 4200ub headunit if that helps i know the gain on the amp is barley up.i was just curious if im doing something wrong or maybe looking into a diff set of subs.
i am an idiot

Wire the woofers to a 4 ohm load.

You're pushing too much power to them for daily play. It's frying the voice coils. Either turn the amp down or run them at 4ohm. You can turn it up for short periods, but those subs are def. getting too much power for long term play.

Those subs should work fine for a daily driver.  Just wire them for a net 4-ohm load on the amp and set your gain properly.  Oh, and when you post, using proper punctuation is appreciated.  subwoofer issue -- posted image.

im sorry about the punctuation.in which way would my box have to be modified?and i guess for now i will have to rewire them to 4 ohms until i can afford to replace them with something better.

A post I made I think didn't post, I was trying to recommend you buy some Audio Que SDC2.5-12 or DD 2512 subs to replace those subs. They will handle the power all day long, and I bet you would be very happy with them.
My post about modifying the ported box had to do with switching subs.
