If you have it scheduled why are you doing the leg work for the installer??? doesn't sound like a competent installer to me. They should have access to wiring diagrams and should know what bypass mod to use.

I am the owner/installer. I mainly do car stereo, alarms, fiberglass and suspension work on old schools and hotrods. But when a loyal customer brings their daughters car in for an alarm I'm not going to turn away business. Also it's a chance to learn something new.
So with that being said. My distributor didn't have the part suggested above. I ended up using the Omega brand OL-MDB-ALL and flashing it with my laptop.
Thanks everyone for the advice an wiring chart. You made this install a breeze!

I may be wrong, but that interface you used might be an Idatalink piece, which is the best you can use.  I know they make them for other companies, cause when I order an ADS Idatalink ADS-AL-CA from one of my seconday distributors (which doesnt carry ADS-Idatalink), I have to order a Crimestopper or Omega (iforget who it is)  Model # OFA30.   And they send me an ADS-AL-CA

Whatever they wanna call it, I dont care, I just Want my ADS Interface.

For some vehicles.   And it's DEI for the rest.

But possibly you got a DEI  DBALL interface?

The package was labeled as omega but that doesn't mean it isn't just labeled under a different name like power accostik an soundstream are the same junk.

I have a 2009 Mazda 6 with the smart key.  I installed an expresskit DBALL and a 5904 Viper using the D2D connection.  I changed the menu 3 option to turn off engine check mode and I changed the crank time to 4 sec. ( I have also tried tach mode)  The starter output (violet) is providing 12v to the brake wire (RED / white) at the advanced keyless entry module and hte BLACK/ red wire also at the keyless entry module shows 12v with a drop to 1.2v when the car tries to start.  The engine never turns over though.  Any thoughts?  Chad cermis@hotmail.com

well omegalink/idatalink are the same thing.I believe Omega Makes Idatalink. Because you can get the new Blade AL64 and you cant get it in idatalink.

Would this be any different for a manual 2011, no Bose, yes to smart key?
I am thinking to just use the device that eats one of my two keys.
Thanks
