I have a 2007.5 dodge ram diesel that I am trying to run wires through to the door. Normally this is not a big deal but in this case the hole in the wall has a solid factory connector the size of the boot.
What are my options? Can I run my own boot?

you can take an empty portion of the connector and drill a hole through it. then just fish your wire through the new hole. pretty simple. easier than installing a whole new boot.

Make sure after you drill through the plug that you seal it back up, otherwise water will run down the wires and cause issues.
