Good evening everyone,

I just purchased a two way Performance Teknique 2 way car alarm ICBM-7071, and I am about to attempt to install it. I am somehow familiar with electronics and this forum has provided a wealth of knowledge over these years. I searched for a tutorial to install this alarm, but I did not have any luck. Can anyone provide a step by step as to how install the alarm? For instance, I do know how to take apart the ignition switch and test wires for voltage. From there, I am lost since I do not know where is the 99 jeep cherokee factory door module, or if the door locks are negative or positive  triggered (how do i test for this?), vacuum type, reverse polarity, etc? I know that I am asking for too much, and that this alarm is very cheap, but is all I could afford now. All the help is greatly appreciated.

I attempted to install a starter kill switch, but after reading here, I am not sure if I need a relay with a diode or not. I was trying to put the switch inline with the brown small gauge wire that goes to the starter (I believe it comes from the ignition). But I did not know if a relay is needed. Please help.

I posted a link to the diagrams, and that is all it came with the alarm. As you can see it is pretty generic and useless for the noobs like me.

Please...Can someone help me? I would like to do the installation on my own. At least can someone provide enough information to get started?

Thank you,

Joe

Thanks a lot. I will start working tomorrow on this project. I am kind of nervous because it will be my first alarm install.

Thanks for the help!
