I am in the process of installing a 5901 with xpresskit xk09 into a 2010 Nissan Titan LE and I have run into 2 sepearate issues I am hoping someone can help with.
Let me start off by listing what all wires I have connected on the 5901. Keep in mind I am simply trying to get this to start and I was planning on hooking up other wires once
I knew it was going to work.
On the 6 Pin starter plug of the titan I have connected the following wires to the 10 pin plug on the 5901.
Green (12volt) -- (10-Pin Remote Start) H3/2 RED / White, H3/6 Red, H3/9 RED / Black
Green (12 volt) -- (12-pin Main Harness) H1/2 Red
Red (accessory) -- (10-pin Remote Start) H3/3 Orange
BLACK/ Red (iginition) -- (10-pin Remote Start) H3/1 Pink
Brown (Starter) -- (10-pin Remote Start) H3/4 Violet
I grounded the following wires
(18-pin connector) H2/18 BLACK/ White
(12-pin Main Harness) H1/5 Black
(Negative side of siren)
I hooked positive side of siren to (12-pin Main Harness) H1/3 Brown
I mounted and connected hood pin to (18-pin connector) H2/15 Grey
I mounted (18-pin connector) H2/9 Violet/White to a correct fuel injector wire under the hood.
Last I hooked (12-pin Main harness) H1/6 Violet to 12 volt door trigger.
On the XpressKit xk09 I connected the following according to the install manual and per chatting with a support tech for them.
I connected the Tan/Black wire from the xk09 to the Blue wire on the 40-Pin BCM plug which is the Can-High
I connected the Tan wire from the xk09 to the Pink wires on teh 40-pin BCM plug which is the Can-Low
I cut the GREEN/ Orange wire on the 40-pin BCM plug in half and the side going to the security light was connected to Orange on the xk09 and the other side was connected to the
yellow on the xk09.
I then plugged the xk09 into the 5901 using the D2D cable provided.
The 2 issues I am having are as follows.
#1 The xk09 light is flickering constantly. It never turns solid as it describes it should in the manual no matter what I try turing on key off, pressing program etc.
#2 The 5901 alarm works fine. The first time I pressed the remote start button I received 7 flashes. According to the manual this meant Timer mode/Turbo mode/Manual mode
error. From what I read the 5901 by default is in Manual transmission mode which is fine so I followed the steps to change it to automatic mode. I opened the door, turned on
and off the key, pressed the responder button and held it in until it chirped 3 times. I then pressed the button again once and then pressed and held to get to option 1 of menu
3. I then pressed the unlock button 1 time on the remote which changed the starter to automatic mode. I then closed the door which took the 5901 out of programming mode. This
time when I attempted the remote start I get 8 flashes which according to the manual says Neutral safety shutdown. I know this is not the case as I have already grounded out
the 18-Pin connector H2/18 BLACK/ White which is the Neutral safety input and according to the manual if using an automatic transmission should just be grounded.
It is possible that I have not connected enough required wires but again all I am trying to do is get this to start for now. Baby steps. I will continue to add the rest of the
features after I get this working.
I am looking for any help anyone may have on this so please either post or PM me.
Thank you
KJ
