04 mazda 6, arm/disarm

So, I've been searching here & other sources for answers and I am a bit confused. I'm installing a remote start and for arm/disarm of factory alarm, I've seen the following: 1.) blue wire in DKP or lock module. (-)for disarm or (-)through resistor (some say 1,000 ohm, some say 1400 ohm) to rearm 2.) WHITE/ blue keysense wire to disarm (+12v) but what about to rearm? I'm hoping someone that has done at least one of these vehicles can clarify for me. Also, some say that relays must be used for lock/unlock and arm/disarm and some say they didn't need them. Does anyone know if 500ma output is ok, or will I need relays? TIA, Todd Thanks!

I've done this twice before (2010 Mazda 2 & 2011 Mazda 3) and it's not too hard. I advise using a good quality DMM as with any alarm install. So basically your dealing with a "NEGATIVE" multiplex door locking system and that blue wire at drivers kick is coming from the door lock switch. First, cut that puppy in half with your cutters. Next, using your meter set to the ohms position, put the black probe to ground and verify which side of the cut wire is arm using the red probe. The meter should read 1000 ohms while you lock/arm the drivers door using the key. Unlock/disarm is just plain ground no resistor. And you must use relays to throw a high current ground to both sides of the cut wire or its probably not gonna work.
